North Lido Beach is located on Lido Key, one quarter mile northwest of St.
Armand’s Circle, off John Ringling Blvd. The beach is easy to get to, yet
visitors experience privacy. Caution must be used when swimming at this beach
for there are no lifeguards on duty and the currents are very swift.

Lido Beach

South Lido

South Lido park is located on Ben Franklin Drive at the southern tip of Lido
Key. The 100 acre park interacts with four significant bodies of water; The Gulf
of Mexico, Big Pass, Sarasota Bay and Brushy Bayou. The southern, beach portion
of the park offers expansive views of the emerging skyline of downtown Sarasota
and the Gulf of Mexico. It also has a great picnic area that is shaded by
towering Australian Pines. A separate facility at the north end of the park
offers its own nature trail which includes scenic overlooks and boardwalks.
Also, at the northern portion of the park are rest room facilities, a picnic
area, a canoe launch, and a self guided canoe trail.

Siesta Beach is known as one of the most beautiful beaches found anywhere. At
the "Great International White Sand Beach Challenge", Siesta Beach was
recognized as having the, "whitest and finest sand in the world." Shallow water
depth in the near shore areas together with year round lifeguard protection,
make this one of the safest most popular beaches in the County.

Palmer Point Beach
South end Siesta Key and the north end of Casey Key
Palmer Point Beach begins at the southern tip of Siesta Key and
continues onto the north end of Casey Key. This beach will give you a feeling of
privacy and seclusion. It is a beautiful, gentle sloping beach with a pristine
dune system. The beach is a popular spot for boaters and people who like to walk
along the shore from Turtle Beach. Two things to make note of if you are
visiting; there are no Lifeguards on duty, and there are no facilities present.

Nokomis Beach

Nokomis Beach is located on Casey Key directly west of the Albee Road Bridge.

One of the most exciting surfing beaches on the West Coast of Florida. Also a
very popular picnicking spot for families and large groups. Fishing on the north
jetty is extremely popular as well as viewing coastal birds, dolphins, manatees
and spectacular sunsets. North Jetty is also a great place to watch boats
traveling in and out of the Venice Inlet.

Venice Beach is located at the west end of Venice Ave. one mile west of Business
41. The beach is owned by the City of Venice and operated by Sarasota County. If
you enjoy diving in your leisure time, a reef containing fossilized material is
located a quarter mile offshore making it a favorite spot for local divers.

Brohard Park

Brohard Beach is located in the southern most part of the City of Venice, on the
Venice Airport property on Harbor Drive.
A watering hole quenches thirst, a penalty box for those that get a little too
frisky, a hitching post, and picnic tables are just a few of the amenities
awaiting you and your favorite furry friend Brohard Dog Beach and Paw Park. The
paw park has a separate area for small dogs, picnic tables, benches, waste
disposal. The boardwalk leads pets and their people to the only dog friendly
public beach in the area. Dogs are permitted in a restricted area along the
beach, but have the run of the Gulf of Mexico.

Caspersen Beach

Caspersen Beach, a National Clean Beaches Council Blue Wave designated rural
beach, is located at the southern end of Venice on Harbor Drive. The southern
two thirds of beachfront has been left in its natural state. An ADA accessible
boardwalk provides a panoramic vista of the Gulf and dunes as well as picnicking
opportunities.
Caspersen is recognized as one of the most enjoyable shelling beaches in this
area. This is an exceptionally good area for collecting prehistoric sharks’
teeth. You can see freshwater and saltwater marshes, mangrove areas, and tidal
flats. Visitors can enjoy a 20 minute walk through Caspersen's nature trail that
meanders through a coastal hammock and connects to the Venetian Waterway Trail.

Manasota Beach is located at the west end of Manasota Beach Road. The beach is
situated between the Gulf and the Intracoastal Waterway. As a convenience on the
Intracoastal side, a boat ramp and docking facilities are available allowing
access to the Bays and Gulf. The 620 feet of dockage becomes a scenic boardwalk
that meanders through the mangroves. A wonderful place to spend your leisure
time whether you are interested in swimming, boating, fishing, walking, or
collecting shells.
